Has anyone else been watching this show?

I've gotten addicted to it against my will. It comes on late at night where I live.

It's a fantasy show produced by Sam Raimi, based off of the Sword of Truth novels by Terry Goodkind (which I've never read, but now kind of want to). This boy, Richard, has to defeat the evil Darken Rahl (loltastic name for a villain, eh?) with the help of his ladyfriend and a wizard. Lots of action, constantly shifting plot, and lots of fun.

It's really a hidden gem of a show, imo.

Read the first book shortly before the tv series started, when it came out I tried watching it but I couldn't get through the first episode.

The book was great and the TV series seemed to deviate pretty far from it. Guess I'm just a purist.

For whatever its worth every episode is up on Hulu for anyone who wants to watch it: http://www.hulu.com/search/search?query=Legend+of+the+Seeker

Bored and can't sleep. Thought I would see if anyone had posted a thread on this show. Have to agree with CircularThinking. IMO, Wizard's First Rule may well be the greatest fantasy novel ever. It actually got me into reading when I picked it up randomly for a school book report. The two books after it were really good as well. I was excited about the show, until I tried to watch it on Hulu. It hurt me. Skip the show. Read the books.

Yes, great show! I suffer from chronic insomnia, and happened to stumble upon this show one night. Very entertaining with a good plot!
