I did this briefly while in college for a guy who rented houses to students. I actually found it very stressful because I had to post flyers in dorms and didn't have access to all of them. So I had to wait for someone to enter or leave and felt weird trying to get inside. But it paid well considering I went to college during the dinosaur ages and I got offered more money when I tried to quit. But back then we didn't have things like craigslist so it was more lucrative I think.
Yeah I think some do require you to drive, but some can be done on foot. Actually, now that I think about it, it does sound quite stressful, walking right up to people's front doors and dumping flyers on them. It'd be easier if we had mailboxes here. Well whatever, I need money. It can't hurt to apply at least.
