I doubt it. Try it. Shut down all unneeded Processes while viewing DVD, so it has all the RAM available.

That machine is fine. You only need about 500MHz and 32MB of RAM for DVD-watching. (Speaking from experience.)

I have a 750mhz, 256mb ram laptop and haven't had any problems running dvd's on it.
