by getting burned. Like less than a 1st degree burn, on a cookie tray. Or being scrapped by a piece of metal. Not sure if it was rusty or not.

I swear, I need to find a job where I do something safe like programming.

I work at mc donalds right now. btw.

If it didn't penetrate the skin you should be fine. I haven't heard of people getting tetanus from superficial burns. Tetanus isn't caused by rust, the bacteria thrives in low-oxygen environments like wounds (punctures/fairly deep ones).

I'm not a medical professional though...if you're really concerned about it check webmd or see a GP for more information. Have you been vaccinated for it in the last decade? That is the best prevention.

Can't get that from getting burned but can come from cuts on metal particularly around livestock or if you are bitten by an animal, especially farm animals.
