today in Manhattan, it was a big deal for me just to go there, I saw people around the table, observed from a safe distance and almost didn't go, most of the people were able to speak good, clearly, for at least 2 minutes, I couldn't do that, I would of froze, stuttered, I'm just glad I went because I saw a few who have it as bad as I do, if I didn't have depersonalizatin/derealization, my symptoms would of been WAY worse, it was like I wasn't there because nothing looked real to me, derealization 24/7 I have. It meetup made me realize that it's not healthy for me to keep living like this, teenagers are more social and have better communication skills than I do and I'm 27. That's embarrassing. I can't even read something I wrote to my therapist out loud in front of her.

Way to push yourself. Nice to have a mix of people who are like you to make whom you can relate with, and people whom are a bit more confident so they can be role models. Keep it up : )
