A friend asked me if I knew of any. These are the ones I found that I hadn't seen before:

1) The cool optical illusions that involve crossing your eyes are stereo images. Instead of looking through your monitor, you look half the distance between your eyes and the monitor. The result is a three-dimensional image (it may take you a while to get it, but it's worth it. the last one is the best)

If you can't seem to get the above: http://www.vision3d.com/frame.html

Which way does she turn for you???
This is really amazing.
Read the information and good luck... you will need it.
This will drive people crazy for hours.

If you see this lady turning in clockwise you are using your right brain.
If you see it the other way, you are using left brain.

Some people do see both ways, but most people see it only one way.

See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brain's current.
BOTH DIRECTIONS CAN BE SEEN.

Exper imentation has shown that the two different sides, or hemispheres of the brain are responsible for different manners of thinking. The following table illustrates the differences between left-brain and right-brain thinking:

Left Brain Right Brain
Logical Random
Sequential Intuitive
Rational Holistic
Analytical Synthesizing
Objective Subjective

Looks at: Looks at:
parts wholes

Most individuals have a distinct preference for one of these styles of thinking.

Some, however, are more whole-brained and equally adept at both modes. In general, schools tend to favor left-brain modes of thinking, while downplaying the right-brain activities.

Left-brain scholastic subjects focus on logical thinking, analysis, and accuracy. Right-brained subjects, on the other hand, focus on aesthetics, feeling, and creativity.

If you look away, she may switch from one direction to the other.

I found that if I just look at her feet or relax and look at the floor where the reflection shows, she will switch direction!

Weird! For me the color only stays for a brief moment

Could you get the 3D ones? They really surprised me when I finally got it

I got it by crossing my eyes and moving my head towards and away from the monitor until I got it. It took me a while, but I can be a little persistent/stubborn about things like it. :)

Whoah...I had only been able to see it clockwise, but I just opened it again and saw it counter-clockwise. I swear! :)

I can't figure out a-e, the others were interesting. The lady I've seen before and she always goes clockwise for me, can't ever get her to go the other way.

The castle one and the face were cool. I saw the spinning lady one before. This checkerboard one is still my favorite though where A & B are in reality the same shade but don't look like it at all...

I saw that one before I had to print it out and fold the paper so that the squares were together before I could believe it.

The trick to getting the spinning girl to change direction (at least for me) is to look at the shadow of her foot you can either think of it as being her shadow as her foot points a way from you or towards you, I can actually get it to look like she's just turning back and forth.
