Hi everyone!!!

My name is Simone and I'm here today because I realized I have crippling social anxiety. I really shouldn't diagnose myself but I feel I've been this way since my teen years. Now I just need to get the meds to take some of the edge off. I can function at work but at school I'm a mess. I feel like I don't act the way I would normally at home. Anyone here ever have someone ignore you after a first impression because they think you're inadequate? That's how I always feel, then I get depressed. So I'd like to be apart of this group to share and to read how everyone else deals with life's obstacles :yes.

Hi Miss Noir,
I'm new too, and yes, this may very well be a lifeline--

One note: Yes, SA is a struggle. But that in no way makes you inadequate.

Hi and welcome! And yes people do generally only talk to me once initially and then since im unable to talk back... they just stop making an effort.Around family and relatives, my SA just does down to like 10%... I'm a completely different person then.
