I've been trying to get a job, but social anxiety is making it kind of difficult especially during interviews. I think I can hide my anxiety well enough to where I just seem a little nervous, which is normal in a job interview, but I come across as akward and too serious. Employers want someone with a friendly smile and who can carry on small talk. I am friendly, but I can't really fake a good smile or carry on small talk with strangers partly through anxiety and partly just because I've never really been good at it unless we are talking about something interesting. I really want this job (it's at a restaurant) and would appreciate any advice.
