Right now, I've already skipped school today and yesterday, as well as several days last week. i have two tests that i was supposed to do today, both i am unprepared for, as well as an assignment for another class due friday, and a proposal for another class due yesterday. I also have this extracurricular thing that i signed up for (in a brief moment of confidence) that i have been avoiding even though I'm actually needed in it. I am so stressed and overwhelmed right now, and obviously, doing my usual thing of skipping school to avoid it.

I have done this so many times before. How can I avoid it (ha...) in the future? As, in, things to do..

I mean, yesterday I considered seriously just faking a mental breakdown so i could walk away from my life and start over...like declaring bankruptcy on bad debts. I know it would be hell coming back, and there's no way i could pull it off or have a real breakdown- I'm so self conscious that i pull myself back from any personal sharing, which a breakdown would definitely be.

Well there is no easy way. Life is hard, life is tough. It will break you down, make you cry. All you have to do is suffer and fight. Just DO the thing you NEED to do. Just don't watch TV or sit at PC one day and make yourself Study what you need. Make yoursefl go where you need. Yeah it's hard, you may do stupid things, fail, but no one will really care, just you. That's all I can say...

Yar... sometimes I wish I could commit suicide without the dying part :p

Like shooting some sort of magic bullet into my head that would clear every bad situation I'm in and most of all let my brain start over without all the bad experiences it's had that puts it where it is now and pigeonholes it into not ever trying to change.

I have the bad habit of skipping classes when things get rough, too. :|

Do your professors know about your anxiety? This probably sounds really scary, but it might be a good idea to set up appointments with your teachers at the beginning of each semester and talk to them about having SAD. By telling them that class can be a struggle for you before classes really get started, most of them will be more understanding if probelms arise in the future, where as if you talk to them when the problem comes up (like during midterms or something), they may be less inclined to believe you.

I wonder if there's a way you can get documentation for SAD. Some school health centers might have a program or test that can prove you have a real condition, so that even if a teacher doesn't care about it, they have to take it into account anyway. I've done it for my learning disabilities before, but I don't know if you can do the same thing for SAD or not.

As far as what you can do right now, maybe try emailing your teachers and the extracurricular thing you have? Perhaps try to explain that you've been having some problems, and ask what you can do to make it up?

I hope it gets easier for you. Class can be brutal.

sometimes I feel like I'm fighting a war with myself, but I'm in it to win it! don't think about it so much, everythings going to be ok..There's always that one word of encouragement that changes everything; that one person you meet that gives you hope again; try to smile, even if its just a little smile that believes... :)

Stay in school:)
I know it's ****ing tough with anxiety but don't drop out like I did(at 13!) and have to work manual labour and other menial jobs to get by.
I have done manual labor and the thing is the job may be tolerable but people you meet socially may not be. They look down on you. I will never forget how I was continually treated for a span of time. If I see anyone who does that to anyone, I write them off.
