I'm pretty sure I have social anxiety.
Should I go to my GP, or speak to someone at school to find out if I actually do :S
I'm 15 (a youngster on here really ;)) and being mentored by the school principal this year- I could talk to her, but the thought terrifies me...
There are other people I could speak to at school, who might be less intimindating, but I'm not sure if this will just make things worse :S

What have you done to get help? Is it important to get diagnosed and w/e?

Thankyou

Yes, it's important to get diagnosed so you can get therapy and medication to get you better. You should see your GP - that's the best course of action.

Yes, you should go to your GP. I'm younger than you are (15 next month) and trust me, it's worth it to get the help. Therapy has taught me a lot about myself and it's helped with other areas of my life too. Progress isn't easy and you're going to have setbacks but the best attitude to have is "I'm going to get through this." Good luck. :)
