When I was learning to play frisbee and struggling, my friend told me the easiest part to learn would be learning to be confident. I initially rejected this notion because I suffer from so much self-doubt, but I want it to be true. However, it has been weeks since he told me this, and I just now realized that while playing I spend my time thinking I will fail and ruin a play and tense up from this causing me to make blunders. But isn't it really as simple as telling myself I am capable, and that there is potential for success? To go in thinking I will fail from the start hinders me in so much of my life, but how does one go about changing this mindset?
