I have recently joined SAS and for the first time I don't feel so alone. It's great. I find myself thinking "yes!, exactly!, that's me, when I read many of the posts.
The thing is this -- is there a place here for people who want to meet others in the their area -- one-on one? Not necessarily a support group. Like a matchmaking for SAer's
I would love to contact someone with the possibitity, after both feel comfortable, to get together to, go to the movies, see a museum, talk over coffee, ect.
I have SA, and I know this is can be big step, but I know I'm one that would assure the person that it would be a no-pressure situation. Just a companion to relate to and ease the loneliness for a while.
Does anyone else feel the way I do?
Please, any ideas or info. would be greatly appreciated!!
I am in LI, NY, near NYC by the way.
Thank you!,
Joe

Hi Joe,
There have been a few threads about things like this. I have tried posting here for people to meet in my area- there are posts from all over in this area. Unfortunately, due to our issues that bring us here in the first place, it can be a bit of a catch 22 to get the nerve up to converse/meet. I know there are some NYC people on here in addition to you, though.

Good luck to you
