Ok... so. As my exams are nearer and nearer to completion, my parents and I are having more and more discussions about jobs.

Here's my background... science. physics chemistry and biology at college level. Additionally I graduated from high school with geography, computer software (not programming, though) plus the sciences mentioned above. (and of course, math and english ).

That being said, I don't really wanna go be a teller at a bank, or similar jobs, I want something closer to what I studied.

The first thing that came to my mind was being a science teacher. I am sure I can handle the actual teaching; its the discline i sometimes worry about. In any case, i plan to gym non-stop over the summer, so hopefully if i do become a teacher i will be physically imposing enough :D

Any other ideas.

P.S. this if of course just supposed to be a 1-2 year job that i take up to save for university.

Oh, I've had experience teaching classes already. But those times, it was usually my own class, and so... it was kinda not as pressuring.

The only thing that concerns me now is how to command respect from the class. In fact I would rather teacher younger kids, rather than kids to close to my own age.. that way i can more easily fool them when i "pretend to be frightening and imposing" :roll

I have considered being an english teacher, however have the same fears you do, about discipline...I thought maybe I'd get my masters and teach at a college. I'd think college kids may be more mature and nicer?..idk lol congrats !

I'm glad we have an understanding. Heck what you say is not a bad idea. STudy masters and teach college. There's a stereotype that college prof's (especially in science) are odd, anyway. My own social anxiety will probably just be taken as "absent minded professor- syndrome" :D
