Just like many of you, I suffer from social anxiety. It has torn away at my life and prevented me from achieving many great things. I have just about all of the textbook symptoms and I also believe that it is the cause of other adverse psychological and physical states that I am experiencing. It is apparent that I am experiencing the fight or flight response on a daily basis whenever I'm around people (nervousness, elevated heart rate, sweating profusely). I almost always leave school feeling enervated, mentally fatigued, and depressed. I feel as if I'm starting to lose control of my life and need to act immediately. I joined this forum in hopes of obtaining some useful information to help me in overcoming this adversity.
