i bought a 'food dehydrator' once (you know, make your own dried fruits and such) years ago.
can't remember if it ever got used. probably rotting away in storage somewhere.
i'm kind of tempted to buy the ShamWOW! but have a sneaking suspicion that it doesn't work...
damn these infomercials and their carnival barker hosts with their inexplicably hypnotic powers!

I've bought banjo minnows from a store. I never tried them out. I did see a guy catch a bass at a pond with one, though. At a Wal-mart there was a live demonstration of knives and my dad bought some. It was definitely an infomercial type demonstration. It shocked me, because he usually is not influenced by that kind of thing. The knives that my dad bought turned out to be ok, but the free paring knives seemed to dull quickly.
I've never bought from infomercials. Occasionally, I'll see something that interests me, but when I research it on the internet I find out that it is not very good. I would definitely recommend doing a search for the product online first. There will usually be at least some opinions/reviews by past customers.

Many of the opinons I've seen online don't seem to be very good

my parents bought something like that. not sure if it was shamwow or an imitator. its ok for drying your car but it doesnt soak up water like it does in the commercials
vince is that skinny hyper guy? didnt he get busted for hitting a prostitute?
