I'm going to my first music festival in a couple days. I'm very excited, but I'm a little nervous because I'm not completely sure what to expect. I'll be there for 5 days.

Has anyone here been to a festival before? Do you have any advice on what to look out for, or some supplies that I might need to bring(besides the obvious supplies)?

I've been to them before, but never the ones that involved camping out.

My advice - take lots of water or buy lots of water if you can't bring it in. Constantly drink water, dehydration/sunstroke isn't fun at all and you'll lose your spot. And I'm the sort who'll wait at the front from the very first band to have a good spot for the headliner, so I always need a bag with sunscreen, sunglasses, energy bars, and a bottle of water. If you're up there with the "hardcore [band] people," they'll likely get to know you well enough to hold your spot if you have to go to the bathroom or buy food or something.
