I listened to that poem for the first time in 2000, I discovered it on napster. It's actually more intense when you hear him saying it with music in the background (I think NIN did the music in the background). That poem really hit me deep when I was in the worst depression of my life.

The one I listened to had music in the background. I found it on napster. maybe it's just the result of some person editing the one without music. I found it on a file sharing program, maybe its still circulating. THe file name made it sound as if trent reznor did the music for it. I'm not sure if its official or not.
