How long did it take some of y'all to graduate from college and how many classes did you usually take a semester? I'm and undergraduate, sophmore and I'm going to start back in January.

Well I've been taking about 4-5 classes per semester. I never failed anything & now I'm entering my 5th & final year. I guess my major (Advertising Design) requires a lot of classes & credits. I'm not sure though, it varies with every school.

Hope I helped a bit!

4½ years for me, but I transferred from a 2-year college to a university after the 2 years. At my 2-year college I took 5 classes a semester. (It was a set schedule, so I had to take 5 classes.) At this college, I took 4 classes a semester, except for one semester where I took 5 classes. I would never do that again.

This is my last semester and I'm taking 3 classes.

I went full time my first semester when I was 19. After that for a few years at my community college I was taking one or two classes a semester. I worked at my school's library for about six months in conjunction with that. Then I started working at a florist... part time to full time... and would take one class a semester.... so I felt ok about that.

Last semester I transferred to a university and was still working full time - part time (depending on how busy it was), and taking one class. It was kind of a testing period to see if I liked the school, and also to ease me into a new school before I attempted full time at a new school. This spring semester (starting Tuesday) I'm taking four classes (and no longer working). Like someone said above, I can't imagine taking five classes. Four alone is hard enough. I don't have a huge amount to say about my parents, but the one positive thing is that they haven't put pressure on me to take college at any faster of a pace than I want to. I want to try and take four classes this semester to get the ball moving. I'm really hoping I can handle it. I'm terrified over school starting and mostly about running into classes where teachers require presentations and then I'll have to talk to them about it. :hide (once again, sorry if I'm getting off topic)

I started of with three classes (11-12 credit hours) for probably the first two years. It increased to 12-14 credit hours (four classes). I took 18 credit hours one quarter (five classes) during my final year and it nearly killed me! My degree is in computer science and three of the five classes contained INTENSIVE programming. I have to take the five classes to avoid delaying graduation by one quarter becasue of a single class.

That 18-hour quarter was Fall 1998. I will never forget the Thanksgiving weekend - the week before finals. Three term projects due and I come down with food poisoning. I made the Exorcist girl puke her heart out - :puke! :haha

Well, it will take me 3 and a half years to get a 2 year degree. So I'll be good for 5-6 years for a 4 year degree.

I've never failed a class, but somehow got stuck with several 0 credit courses my first year that I aced without doing much of anything, and withdrew from a couple more last year. I've never done more than 13 credits in a semester either, worried that any more than that would be too much to adequately handle. And all along I was led to believe I only needed one math class to get a 2 year degree, then last summer I was told I needed three because I didn't take it enough in HS.

I do alright, usually between 2.9-3.1, but it's taking me far too long.

I'll probably graduate community college this year(though I don't think there's a ceremony for people transferring) Who know's how long I'll be at the university. Maybe 2-3 years. I like to take things slow, with as little classes as possible.

I take it back! This is now my last semester, and I'm taking 4 classes. :lol So a total of 5 years it will be (2 years at a two-year school) for me. Lord, make it end!

Oh, I completely forgot - It was a five-year degree (204 credit hours), and 45 credit hours/year according to the university. I finished in 5 1/2 years and had 222 hours - graduated in March, 1999.
