For those of you feeling like you're beginning to overcome your SA, do you find you have an increase in friendships, or no friends?

I've been working really hard to overcome my SA and have been doing pretty well, I would say I hardly have SA anymore except for in a few instances.

However, I'm still friendless! I have a couple aquaintances I might see once every couple of months, but it still feels like people genuinely dislike me.

Do you ever feel this way - that people genuinely dislike you, and choose other people over you all the time?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any tips on making new friends?

I'm feeling so discouraged. :(

You are trying to overcome it, that's already one step ahead of me :). I don't have much experience on making many friends but I heard essentially you have to "fake it 'til you make it." If I overcame part of my SA and tried to make friends, I would probably put on a false appearance at first, being cheerful and sociable as opposed to my usual gloomy self as a start-just a personal example. Well it deals more with advancing in the workplace but still

Good luck!
