hi , so i just emailed and booked my first counselling session for my anxiety with my uni counsellor. Im totally overthinking this whole thing and i felt i just had to go for it but does anybody have any advice on what to do or what to take? should i write anything down as I'm not sure i will be able to say/explain much about how i feel? also im kinda worried about the whole procedure of what will happen, i like to know exactly what is going to happen and how it will pan out but i have no idea what to expect! :um

Congratulations on taking the right step.
What I would recommend after visiting your Uni Therapist is to see an independent psychiatrist.
In my experience, school therapists aren't very professional.

All you need to do is think how you're going to explain what issues you have and what may have caused them. Then he\she'll take it from there.

I hope it goes well for you. Takes guts to make that first step so you should be proud of yourself.

Good luck. :)
