I decided to reactivate my OkCupid account, but I've been reluctant to send messages to women or even search for women. The last time I tried, I was pretty disappointed. I didn't get a single date, and I got very few responses. I have one friend who had success with it, but it was SHE who first contacted her now boyfriend. So I'm wondering whether successful relationships that begin online are first initiated by men or women. To those of you who have had any success with online dating sites (by any success I mean anything from 2 dates to marriage), who sent the first message/initiated contact?
