Firefox and IE?

I didn't want to register at there site so I'll post it here. Is there any compatibility issue with running Firefox and IE on the same box, so that you can use them interchangeably?

Thanks

I run Firefox as my main browser and IE for testing browser compatibility on the same box and have had no problems.
Nope. You can even get a plug-in for Firefox that allows you to open the page you're looking at in IE from the right-click menu (incase the site isn't compatible with Firefox.)

Why would you ever want to do that? If a site does not conform to open standards, what does that say about its content? ~ :eyes

Because I'm not an "open standards" snob and I only care about what people actually use, so I can understand and fix what they actually use. So now that I know that Firefox won't mess up my IE, I'll use both.
I have both loaded on windows xp and they run fine together. I use IE at home and Firefox at work.
Only problem you will find is you end up with 2 sets of bookmarks. You swear you bookmarked some site only to find it in the other program. I have Firefox, IE, and Netscape 8.0 all installed. I don't think 8.0 is going to last very long, all the ads are killing me.
