Here is an article that explains how Facebook can help build social comfort... and increase happiness. Explains educational aspects of facebook too. Very interesting perspective on Facebook.

Title of article is addressed for kids/teens, but message is good for everyone. "Facebook makes our kids happier, and is educational too"

Heh..."educational"...I'll believe that when I don't see people in my lectures tuning out and compulsively checking for 'friend updates' on their page every 2 minutes. I don't personally use it, but I have friends that tell me that if I want an update on their lives then I'll have to get Facebook...you know...rather than them converse with me...ie. socialise!

Happiness? Heh, bull****. I don't feel the slightest happy when I'm looking at pictures of everyone else doing stuff on the weekends, or when I post an update on a band or something and get no comments while someone else can say "I just blinked" and get 10 responses.
