I’ve got a dull pain banging on my hearts door.
I’ve got a soul stained by the [email protected]@dy words of war.
Got a computer full of beautiful songs
That I plan to save for the nights when they’re long
I’ve placed some safe bets then buried the treasure…
I’ve dug my own grave with the threats of ‘forever’.
Lonely, but prefer it. Nervous disposition-
No you can’t cure it. I don’t think it’s a sickness
Solitude makes it better; people make me sweat
I wrote You a letter listing things I regret…

1. Today
2. Yesterday.. the mess
3. The past 5 years. That explains it best...

Regret breeds sorrow, sorrow brings repentance.
Repentance brings temptation…that takes me right back to sinning.
Got a computer full of excuses I’ve written
I’m saving them for the Judgment that I’m bound to be given.

But in the here and now theres this thing called the present
I’m stuck in the past, and the future makes me hesitant.
I’ve got a notebook where most look and say “Poetic”..
To me the notebook has always just said pathetic.
See, that’s point of view. Outsiders can’t feel it
My pain to them is music. They don’t know what I deal with.
The only race I’ve never won is the one against my heart
It has a sick way of beating me before I even start
I laugh it off, try to pass it off as Providence
Harass heaven with third eye, and scoff like I’ve caught a glimpse

Now I’m on a rogue Island, fell silenced and soaked
With no hope in sight and self violence provoked
Repentance is a rope. Temptation is a ledge
There’s enough here to hang myself
Who will get the edge?
But history repeats itself. I’m no exception.
Misery is reaped in hizzle, and I know deception well.
Thanks experience. You teach us quite a bit.
All of us are puzzle pieces that just need to find a fit.
