I heard this sermon 2 weeks ago and it was very inspirational. It was about discouragement and that the ultimate root cause of discouragement is disappointment with God. We ask God "why am I not as smart as so and so, or good looking as so and so, or taller, etc... and we are disappointed at God for not making us the way we want to be. But, God made us just the way we are supposed to be and by putting ourselves down we are building our own prison and limiting ourselves. It's normal to be discouraged many times a day but don't let discouragement get to you. Don't let sa take control!

That is a good message. I find that I am most often discouraged when I want things to work out a certain way, see no reason why they shouldn't, and yet they don't. In a way I guess that is me taking my focus off of God, and closing myself off to God's desires for me. If I had more interest in allowing God to work in me, then whatever happens would be a sign of His love to me, and I would appreciate those things.
