I have become more and more confident in the pst few months. Now that i am going to go back to school I am afraid of slipping into a depression when the stress mounts. I was wondering if ne one has any "safegaurds" to monitor their depression? For example telling their close friends if you avoid them more than a week when you look down they should.... or consistintly go to a therapist every two weeks.

One thing you might find helpful is keeping a journal. Nothing fancy or time-consuming, just some place to write down how you felt that day. Even a pocket calendar would get the job done. You could make a deal with yourself that if you had more than two days in a week where you wrote down "depressed" you make an appointment with a therapist.
