A respected scientist from the Cern particle physics laboratory has told the BBC he expects to see "the first glimpse" of the Higgs boson next week.

It comes as the search for the mysterious fundamental particle reaches its endgame.

If so, this will be a significant milestone for teams at the famous Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

It will be interesting to see if the 50 year-old theory is proven true.
Can't WAIT for Dec 13th. Must. Know Now! :)

This is exciting, however, I'm not so sure they'll see enough to make an official claim...I hope they do though.

I first read this as-Corn scientist expects first glimpse of Higg's bosom. Geez,you guys,I'm way too dumb to be in this thread!
