For a moment there I thought you were talking about female yeast infection...lol, sorry
It is pretty common here. I also dont know if it is more common than general population but it seems so. There are many supplements and stuff that are suggested against candida.I tried that and did not like what I saw. In a way I don't really believe it. What can a doctor do for candida?
Anxiety Accelerates Th2-shifted Immune ResponsesAlways be skeptical of anything that comes from "alternative medicine"

All I get from that article is that stress increases candida. Alternative medicines claims that candida is the cause of a lot of health problems is still dubious and untrue. I'll stick to being a skeptic and beliveing that things like homeopathy, cleansing fasts, ear candling etc are all garbage.Anxiety Accelerates Th2-shifted Immune Responses

A TH1-TH2-like switch in candidiasis: new perspectives for therapy

Abstract: An imbalance in TH1-type and TH2-type responses may allow Candida albicans to modify the host response to favor its own persistence. This hypothesis has important consequences for allergy, autoimmunity and co-infection, and also highlights a potential role for cytokine and anti-cytokine therapy in Candida-related pathology.

Do not be afraid to think, research and question "everything"
Maybe this is why I opened this thread in here on seconadary disorders. If people with anxiety problems are more likely to have heart problems I would watch my diet and choleterol. It is the same for candida. If anxiety causes candida in the stomach I would be careful about it.All I get from that article is that stress increases candida. Alternative medicines claims that candida is the cause of a lot of health problems is still dubious and untrue. I'll stick to being a skeptic and beliveing that things like homeopathy, cleansing fasts, ear candling etc are all garbage.
What I could find is that anxiety might cause candida, but I don't think having candida helps us either. Basically you should avoid to eat stuff that causes indigestion. I know many people tried the supplements that are promoted against candida. I think they do little help. The important thing to get rid of candida is a diet.Is this whole candida thing for real? I took the water-spit test just for the hell of it and saw those stringy things. I'm just wondering if this has anything to do with having a yeast infection or is it just what saliva does? I mean if candida does what is claimed by some of the sites I've seen (anxiety, add, depression etc.) then I think I've FINALLY found what's wrong with me. Somehow I have my doubts that one thing can be the cause to all of life's problems.
