My therapist suggested I read "Feel the fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jeffers. While on the internet trying to locate an audio version of this book I stumbled across several other self help books she has written. I have listened to the audio book (abridged) and have read about 2/3 of the paperback version of Feel the fear. It is terrific. Susan Jeffers writes in an upbeat, no-nonsense fashion. She explains everything in laymans terms, often using examples from her own life. I have since purchased two more books; "Opening our hearts to men" and "Dare to connect". I can't wait to get started on them.

I really liked Susan Jeffers too. I havn't read any of her newer stuff except for "Dare to Connect" but I think she is just a great empowering read even if you don't follow the steps for very long. (always the problem with any self help program yeh)

I recommend her highly as well.
