Does anyone know of good techniques for dealing with a sore back?

I've considered yoga, but assume you need to be really flexible for that... Or pilates, maybe? :con

Best thing is prevention. Lower back exercises and stretches work wonders. Maybe there is some postural thing in your day that is causing it?

You don't need to be very flexible to do yoga. Elderly people do it. At my hospital they had a yoga class for inpatients, go figure. You just have to be aware of your limitations when you do it and not push yourself too far too soon. I've never done pilates, as all those Windsor pilates infomercials have permanently scarred me, so I don't know if it would help. (Oh God not Daisy Fuentes again!) :afr

Yep. My job is really sedentary.

I'll have to give it a try. Yoga always seems to conjure up images of smug people in the lotus posture. Not exactly the first thing you think of doing with your legs.
