Today, I went to a club gathering at my school, and I guess they were trying to recruit people because a bunch of people approached me and introduced themselves (individually).

First person:
"Hi! I'm ____. What's your name?"
"Are you a freshman?" ("No.")
"What's your major?"
"Where do you live?"
"What classes are you taking?"

Second person:
"Hi! I'm ____. What's your name?"
"Are you a freshman?" ("No.")
"What's your major?"
"Where do you live?"
"What classes are you taking?"

Third person:
same.

Again and again and again.

Being a horrible person, I asked one of them if it was part of the script. She said there wasn't a script. I realized that I have almost the exact same conversation with almost everyone I meet on campus. I tried to be different, but I can't think anything else to say that doesn't feel weird. Maybe it's the same for other people.
