Has anyone tried the methods of the following practitioners. They have either tapes or books that address social anxiety.

- Claire Weekes
- Lucinda Bassett
- Dr. Thomas Richards
- David Johnson

Any feedback? Any of these methods worked for you to eliminate / overcome social anxiety?

I am currently reading books by Gillian Buttler, Martin Antony, and Edmund Bourne, all of which I find useful.

I purchased the Lucinda Bassett program, it is a complete waste of time. It actually made my anxiety worse. It was at a low point in my life before I knew about SA and was at the point of trying anything.

Look for Books, Tapes that address social anxiety and not anxiety in general.

Two books that I found helpful

Living Fully with Shyness and Social Anxiety (Hillard)
Shyness & Social Anxiety Workbook (Antony,Swinson)
I am working on Dr. Thomas Richards Overcoming Social Anxiety Step by Step.

My main problem is the ANTS, I worked so hard to combat them and they are the toughest thing I've ever had to deal with in my life. But the Dr. Richards sessions have made me stronger and I have learned that once I finish the series, I'm going to get into group, it's the next step for me.
I have both Lucinda Bassett and Dr. Richards MP3s and workbooks. I like to listen to them because they teach me things and help relax me.
