I find that if I spend more than a couple of days on my own I become anxious when I have to spontaneously socialize again. Whereas if I socialize for a few days my anxiety decipitates and social skills improve. Is this the case with most people in the SA community? The main reason I want more friends/aquaintances is that it makes me a happier person. Socializing in that sense is like a drug for me.

I agree. I notice if I stay home for 3 days with no outside contact, it is very hard to even leave the apt. But if I'm out in public for a couple days in a row, I start to feel better & happier & more confident.

Exactly right! for me too. I want to go out every day, just to not let this anxiety come back for even a day, because it reaaaally sucks when it comes back, almost like starting all over again. :flush

It's so comforting to read something like this that I can relate to.
