I didn't bother to use a cover letter or select the job where I have relevant experience. I'm not that distraught as most don't go to the interview stage. It was a fluke how I got 1 in 2019 and 1 in 2022.
It's a gruelling process, but that's simply the way it is. Don't give up and keep sending those applications out - remember, out of all the applications you send, you only need 1 to say yes, so don't worry about the number of rejections you get. If they give feedback, see if you can use them to improve your interview technique etc. In time, I'm sure you'll get a role you're looking for
when you're already struggling with depression and/or low self esteem, job hunting sucks even more. it's so hard but you're doing a good job by trying. last time i was job hunting i truly felt like no one would ever hire me the entire time, but kept trying and got a job eventually. please be gentle with yourself and keep at it
