This Friday/Saturday, I'm going to be getting together with a bunch of people in my major at college to celebrate finally graduating (graduation was about a month ago). I'm gonna have to drive a good seventy miles to get there, and have to stay over at someone's place. Now I know that I'm going to enjoy myself, but I still have a lot of "pre-anxiety". Any recommendations on how to overcome this?

I'm in the same situation. I have a post-grad get together this weekend that I have to drive 1.5 hours to get to. I'm still trying to decide whether to go or not.

What if you focus on the good things you're looking forward to, and try to ignore anything else for now? Or you could try to not think about it all. Or you could think about the wonderful, fun-filled all-night conversation you're going to have with the cutest girl there (which doesn't end up happening, but it's fun to think about anyway. I can dream, can't I?). So, umm, that's all the advice I got, such as it is.

P.S. - I was almost certain that I replied to this a few days ago. Apparently I thought about it, but didn't think my sage advice was all that good.
