on a side note, i get a lot of crap on here for not using caps, i can imagine some of you would be turned off by joyce because OMG he doesnt use quotation marks.

Actually, I put down Ulysses by James Joyce because I was so annoyed by the lack of proper punctuation.

and many consider ulysses to be the best english language novel of the 20th century.

I've only read Dubliners by him. I kind of have a fear of Joyce (strange, because I like Faulkner a lot, and they tend to both be thrown into that experimental modernism genre), so I've never read anything other than that. I think a lot of people are afraid of Joyce though, like people are afraid of "The Sound and the Fury" or "War and Peace" or something.
