It was a cold winter morning
The fog rolled in from the shore
I saw you standing there with as much beauty as one could hold
I wanted to run to you, and kiss those deep crimson staind lips
But I knew you would just disappear
You were just a mirage, an image for my taste
As I walk closer you seem to drift farther away
Fading into the shore line, you will never stay
As I see myself standing, ankle deep in the shallow water
I fear the monster in front of me
I run at my reflection with a knife, to kill myself in my sleep
I want to destroy the man I have come to be

I have written many poems since high school, I may post them all in my blog on this site, I don't know yet. What do you guys think of this one?
