Ok I need one of you experts to help me out with a little problem if you can.

First of all... The other night I left my laptop on and went to bed. I woke up in the morning to find a blank screen with the text "OPERATING SYSTEM NOT FOUND." I did a reboot and windows XP was back up and running. I had this happen before about 2-3 months ago were my computer completely crashed and I lost everything. I had to use my system recovery disk to install all my programs all over again. Do any of you have any ideas of what I can do to handle this??

Also I have been noticing that my mouse curson gets stuck in certain places from time to time. I dont know how else to explain it really. Has this happened to you? How did you fix it??

Thank for you help its appreciated.

Odd.. I imagine it somehow rebooted during the night (power surge or outage maybe?) and the mbr was damaged. When you rebooted it did it go through scandisk? Always backup your data! Stuff happens! Not to linux of course ;)

Maybe its getting hung up on current processes, is the hard drive light on while this happens?
