Hello everyone. My name is Heather. I'm a college student with social anxiety disorder. I've been in therapy since last October and have made a lot of progress! :)

Things I have accomplished in the past 10 months that I have never done before:

- made several phone calls (i would sparingly answer the phone, but never willingly made one to anyone other than family.)
- i go to restaurants alone and order food (as opposed to making others do it for me.)
- i am less afraid to talk to strangers and ask for help
- went on a date (this was two days ago and it was the hardest thing i've ever forced myself to do, but it was a huge accomplishment.)

I still have a lot to go through, but when I think back on how I was last year, I am amazed. I would never be willing to make a phone call or go on a date. So the fact that I was willing and did those things is truely great.

I should also mention that I take Effexor XR and Remeron. They help take the edge off... but most of my progress has been made with CBT along with the help of my wonderful therapist.
