Hi! Did you have a different screen name before? Hope you're doing well. I've been ok. I don't come here so often anymore. Usually only to see if anyone messaged. I lost Skip, my kitty of 18 years, a couple weeks ago. Rough one.

It's horrendous. I only come here to check in to see if great people message. :)

Very happy to hear from you, old mate. I hope you're doing ok. Happy Holidays.

Years ago, you sent me a pic of a beach you go to where I think you found a message in a bottle among other various wash-ups. I can't seem to find it. If you ever have time, shoot me a pic of that beach again. I'd been thinking about it recently, perhaps because I took a sailing class. Anyway, great to hear from you. Take good care.

So nice to hear from you. Some kind of scattered over to Kay's site when SAS changed. I'm still flailing around. Hope you're doing well. Still in Texas?

Hugs! Wow, what a surprise. I hope you're doing ok. Very great to hear from you. I don't come around here as much as I used to but check in every so often. May start checking in a little more often. We're praying for more rain. It's a desert in sunny California. I'm pet sitting these days. More than stressful but with some big payoffs. Happy Holidays!

Oh wow! Great to hear from you!! After the website change I've mostly migrated to Anxiety..Space.Com.
I had to type the website name different because this website censors it. It's great to hear from you. I hope you're doing well. We're getting ready to head to DC in a couple days. Let me know how things are going! 🤗

I see you've obliterated and lapped all competition several times in the most liked SAS poster standings: Highest reaction score

I hope they gave you an extra big trophy for that.

Lol I didn’t know they were keeping track. Someone told me that you should be getting awards and recognition for less involvement in the site because it means you’re getting better. :)

Can't approach your reaction score, but I've risen into a tie for third place in the points standings. Coming for you and CB. (Most points)

This banner at the top of people sitting in a circle on office chairs is just too good.

I think I'm realizing that maybe editing isn't totally my forte... and along those lines I was also thinking that perhaps being a copy editor would actually not be the best for me, despite seeming like a pretty good fit. So I've once again latched firmly onto the Japanese route. :eyes

It's good you considered the editor route. Maybe it clarified the direction you want to head in. And like your mom says, nothing is set in stone at this point. You are free to change your mind and explore options but I think the best way to do that is to choose something early and go with it for at least a while instead being completely adrift as I tend to be lol.

About to turn in an essay that I am really not satisfied with, and it's to a professor that I really like too :( It's weird because I feel like the paper has a lot of good ideas and sections, but there's so many parts of it that I feel fall short. I feel like I haven't felt this dissatisfied in one of my papers in a long time... :sigh well, here goes...

Maybe it's a bit of school weariness and being ready to move on to a new place? Or maybe being preoccupied with life after you graduate? You're maybe harder on yourself than your teachers sometimes?

I definitely am harder on myself than I need to be, and I know I'll probably get a good grade in the end, but yeah, I feel like this tends to happen with a lot of my papers. I get to a place where it's just good enough and then I don't have the motivation to do anything else and it's frustrating. Maybe that's the same for most other people too, but I don't know.

Well I'm always nervous about the future these days, but actually right now it's the fact that a part of my study abroad application seems to be due on the first of April but I can't currently fill out two sections of it for certain reasons. So I emailed this guy who I had talked to before and he hasn't replied (it's now been 3 days). I also emailed my school's study abroad email and they haven't replied yet either. Just kinda scared that I probably should've done this stuff earlier, but at the same time I feel like this part of the application shouldn't really have a hard deadline, so that's what I'm hoping... :eyes

Oh yeah, I usually use Imgur too, but I haven't used it for a while... It seems functional for me right now though. Well, I hope you find some way to make it work. I've been very stressed out in the last day or so, so I could use some nice coast pics :)

We buried him somewhere really nice, and took a long walk in the woods, the first time since winter it was beautiful weather.

Is it just lecture or like reading stuff at the moment?

I'm struggling with motivation lately, the last couple days I've done pretty much nothing. :blank

oh yeah, about Cindy Lee. I really wanted to download that song so I emailed the email address on their website. It turned out to be Cindy herself and when I asked if I could e-transfer rather than paypal, she just sent me the album and said no problem, thank you for listening. What a freaking sweetheart (I sent her the cash of course.) It was really nice to see an artist get every cent of the money from an album's sale. A couple of personal "thank you"s exchanged is the best way to buy an album ever. She's from Toronto too, and I am so excited. I'd love to go to a show when things open up. She'll be my first contemporary Toronto-based musician that I really really like.
