Congrats? I guess lol. I would never be able to do something like that to be honest. I guess I would think of myself as obsessed sometimes. I used to watch waay more porn and now I only watch it once a day.

I am a believer the the Twelve-step Program.

For some reason, porn seems really boring lately. Can't say I'll quit though. I just don't see any benefit in that. Everything in moderation

I think a lot of it is due to stigma attached with porn stars. Working in porn is really not for a lot of people. If you need to do drugs or other things in your spare time then you should change. But by then a lot are lured in by the money or can't quit.

Way stronger than me! Lately I've been watching once or twice per week. Right now few things get me going, I find it kind of boring, but never at that level. Why are you doing it?

Read it, now for those who laugh off the accusation that porn is bad, or that porn is not effecting their anxiety levels.

This isn't a moral issue here, this is an issue of chemicals in the brain, namely dopamine, and how porn and masterbation effect these levels.

The biologic wiring of your brain is to pursue sex at all costs because it is an instinct of survival. The problem is the brain confuses porn and masterbation for sex and this creates and addictive behavioral cycle. Porn creates an enormous splash of dompaine in your brain at such a high level that is robs you of feeling dopamine from everday, normal situations in life. This creates a negative cycle of low dopamine craving you to watch the porn again to bring the levels back up.

Masterbation in its self is frequently listed by people without SA as a cause of them feeling anxiety around girls. After stopping porn and masterbation, these people felt a return of confidence and reduction in the anxiety.

Please stop posting misinformation and laughing at ideas that you haven't researched and have no basis for. Some people on here may take your stupid opinions seriously.

That's a very, very good point. It works in the same way as some drugs that affect your dopamine; the easy fix robs you of the natural highs and nothing just feels the same anymore.

You have to remember that that only affects people who watch porn and masturbate constantly, though. There's nothing wrong with the occasional fap or a porn flick.

Congratulations What really helps is realizing how many women are mistreated, drugged and abused in this business. Human slave trade is also part of it. It becomes a very egoistical thing of pleasuring only yourself while it is more about the hurt of others. We should help ourselves (to overcome) but also the victims of the porn industry. But when the lust takes over...

People are not forced into porn you know, unless it's a slave situation. I think the fact of the matter is, the wrong people are going into it if they come out with horror stories... it's the same way with the fashion industry, it's not for wimps. You need to be tough because you all be judged mostly on the surface.

Update: Ive been able to refrain myself from porn for at least six months but the urge to do so is still there so I redirect my energy to something else like weight lifting.
