Thumbs up

I Love Presenting Now

Weird, I know, but a while ago I forced myself to go in front of the class first and present while at the same time smiling and making eye contact with everyone. It ended up going super well Now I'm the only one in class who is excited when the teacher says that we are presenting.
I just wanted to share this because it is possible to get over your fear of presenting.

Well done! And yes, I think it's possible too.

Really? Wow, good for you

That's like the ultimate, for school - getting used to presentations or even enjoying 'em.

In one of my first presentations in medical school, i had really bad symptoms, so i decided to work on this.
I did not exspect it, but i overcame my fear of presenting very fast with the help of a therapist, he offered me to do a presentation of my choice in his social anxiety group. First i did not want to but then i did it und it went well, he recorded it und since then i am not afraid of upcoming presentations- i even enjoy them. This is one area exposure therapy worked for me...

Its wierd but I had the same experience last time I presented. I was incredibly nervous before hand, but when I got up there, I began to enjoy it alot. The presentation went fine and I was left feeling great.

That's awesome! I had my first presentation today in my public speaking class and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be!
