What helps me get relaxed is to start by focusing on an object in front of me and take a deep breath in and exhale which I repeat 5 times. Then close my eyes and just focus on the breathing. I find this helps keep me focused on the meditation and is very calming. I do this before I do any energy healing.

I learned TM about a month ago and I’ve found it beneficial. I have not experienced any profound changes (yet), but I am generally calmer. The sessions also help me quiet all the “noise” of bad memories and self-judgment that cloud my mind.
