Everybody here say they take omega 3, some noticed changes n some didn't, but nobody mentioned how much dose he take everyday. This could explain why some of you haven't noticed any different while others did. I went to my therapist yesterday and she said it's good if you take 2,000mg of Oilfish omega-3 every morning, along with vitamin D -- she said she does that herself. I wonder how much dose did those take who said they have gotten better after using it.

I'd rather take fish oil than any antidepressant. First off there are nearly no side effects compared to antidepressants. Second for me it works way better than antidepressants even if it's a placebo effect. There are studies where the placebo effect is much greater than drugs. It's not as expensive as drugs. Fish Oil is the way to go!!!!

I've been taking fish oil since before I even started struggling with anxiety. Honestly, I know it's good for keeping heart disease away. But I have never expected it to help with my anxiety, and it never has. Seems pretty ridiculous that a fatty acid would help a problem that is rooted mainly in Serotonin and GABA imbalances most of the time...

Fish oil does have positive effects on my anxiety, especially when combined with ADs.

here's an interesting study:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21784145

Oh yeah...the downside - it only lasts 1-2 hours. How many of these capsules can you pop per day...

EPA and DHA ratios

I am going to try the flax seed oil. Apparently the ratio between DHA and EPA needs to be just right, like, 1:3. We'll see. Depression and anxiety are often linked - so here goes.

The world spins round and round and some of us fall off.

the reason why fish oil is as necessary as multi vitamins or vitamin C is because it also helps our body a lot. a good read from Maxalife.com says these:

- Omega-3 fatty acids act as an anti-inflammatory agent.
- People who have a regular intake of food rich in Omega 3 fatty acids are less prone to heart diseases.
- Omega-3s can lower your level of triglycerides.
- Omega 3 fatty acids are effective in preventing joint pain and stiffness in people with rheumatoid arthritis.
- Recent studies have proven that these fatty acids are a good medication for depression.
- These fatty acids help in the proper development of a child and eliminated problems like retardation and short attention time span.

I take krill oil daily which is loaded with omega 3. It can help cardiovascular health, brain health, and complexion. Not sure if it will help a person gain weight though.

15-20 grams per day

Or 2 big cans of tuna per day does it for me.

Tuna salad with olive oil and vegetables = best natural energy and brain booster

Everything nowadays is poisoning..

Ignore that BS, and eat that tuna full of omega 3 fats.

The mercury won't kill you, it's proven that the omega 3 benefits outweigh the mercury bad sides..

Stop worrying about poisoning from foods..

Just make sure you don't poison yourself with alcohol, drugs, and bad thoughts.

They are 100 times more poisonous than some little heavy metal in your can of tuna

..........

Just to say... Look howmany bodybuilders eat 2-3 cans of tuna each day.. No one ever had problems with it...

So again, just eat away that tuna Don't worry about the little things or you will have to live a very paranoid life otherwise.
