Oh yeah it has iodine, thank you for the info, I don't want to do anything to hurt my thyroid, it is very problematic!

You can probably just keep taking it if it hasn't cause you any problems. If you're worry, you can always try flaxseed oil or other vegetable forms of Omega instead.

Enjoy any good things, even the little and menial ones, as you will never know what impending distresses could descend upon you in a moment.

I take 2 GNC Capsules per day. I think there rated at 1500MG OMEGA 3 each. I'm directed to take one capsule per day as indicated by the bottle. I take 2 per day because my knees and joints feel throughout the day. I've also noticed improved mood several weeks after taking these pills.

flax pills

I've been taking fish pills for years. I just started taking flax pills too. If it has an effect on anxiety it is subtle. The long term benefits on mental and physical health seem to make them worth taking. You won't really get the benefit until you're 60 or so though - you will be les likely to have heart disease or get alzheimer's. Alzheimer's runs in my family.

Can you tell me more about flax pills and how they have helped you out?

thanks

I've take iodine supplements in the past and developed hypothyroidism.

I have been taken nutrigold 75 % ratio EPA/DHA , take 2 pills a day so , 1,5gram 0,5gram DHA...most negative studies done on fish oil depression have been DHA...the positive studies are EPA
you need about 60% ratio EPA atleast to have some anti-depressant effects..and the anti-depressant effects only start afhter 3 months, so its no wonder why people dont feel a difference afhter a couple of weeks.
more then 2 gram in exccess of DHA some studies suggest is useless and is counter productive...most studies with good result suggest between 1-2grams of EPA with atleast the 60% ratio to DHA.

For my self I really noticed a difference afhter 6 months using it, not really significant but more in a subtle way im more stable and handle stresses & anxiety better then before I dont get easily over flooded like I used before.

Krill-oil is the same as fish oil basically only more bio-avaible (like 35%) so you need less, but if you do the math the fishoil is still better in comparison to the price

As said before this is never a replacement of therapy or medication, but a nice add-on to increase the effects of therapy and anti-depressants, I would also advice to use high vitamin D supplements 3000-5000IU to increase the anti-depressants workings, also works on the serotine/dopamine parts in the brain.

I took this while on Venlafaxine. I think I got ones with 60% EPA, but after about a month I think I was getting serotonin syndrome. I was overheating and my pupils were massive. Then I got INCREDIBLY depressed the next day. Like allot more than usual. I know people take these with ssri's, but be careful.

It indeed improves the ssri threatment, but serotonin syndrome because of fish oil seems highly unlikely in one study 9gram of fishoil was almost equal to 10mg of fluxotine, but probs you dont take 9grams of fish oil and even if its 10mg of fluxotine then still its pretty low as some people are on 80mg fluxotinin.

fishoil even if it has anti-depressant effects which there is no clear evidence for it while it does suggest something to that then its very subtle and not even near to srri's

+ you need to take it atleast 3 months to even notice some effects

I've been taking it for awhile now. We need the daily dosage, and I'm not much of a fish eater, so these pills are a lifesaver.

Faith.

still it would be wise to eat atleast 1 once a week fresh fatty fish like salmon or herring, it has a more whole fatty profile which in turn the EPA & DHA gets better absorbed by the body and the other fats of the fresh fish isn't well researched and might have extra benefits and beside that its full other nutrients

atleast I try to eat atleast once a week of fatty fish while im also not a great fish eater..but idd with supplements its far easier to reach and cheaper to reach a high dose everyday for epa & dha, but that aint the whole picture of fish benefits.
