I've heard your blood brain barrier could be damaged if GABA works for you.

I just tried Gaba a few hours ago after days of unusual stress over an upcoming social event at work. I feel like it completely deflated the anxiety and I am enjoying the calmness. When i think of the upcoming social event at work after taking Gaba, i feel powerful, like it will be no big deal. My speech however is not as fast so perhaps need to lower the dosage. I have several days to play with the dosage and try it out before the two days of "doom" as i have been seeing them.
Hopefully this will work and will stop my anxiety. I was already getting a stomach upset and heartburn because of it. Normally I function well without anything but once or twice a year I have to deal with these social team events for a few days, that leave me exhausted and I suffer months in advance as the date approaches.

I'm on GABA, Theanine Serene, P5P, Vitamin D, Tryptophan, Magnesium Plus Guard, and Niacinamide. Just changed the set, but I've been on Gaba, and it helps a bit in time. But definitely causes some nausea, dizziness, initially at least. Anyone else have a similar combination?

Some supplments to do,are

Picamilion - a supplment that attacthes to nicacin as its carrier and does cross the BRAIN and raises gaba.
I tried this. It's also expensive and I didn't notice even a slight difference in anything.

L Theanine - Also crosses the brain and is said to raise both gaba and dopamine
This has a nice effect if you drink tea. The pills are useless.

I got a BAD tremor in my hand and panic attacks the next day from this - just like Ativan!...it works...not in a very ideal way for me unfortunately. I'm assuming since this is also a typical reaction to benzodiazepines for me it will have a normal effect on people who respond normally to them.

GABA for me is working very well. A lot better than l theanine. I feel practically no anxiety anymore at all. No anxiety at work, no anxiety when I'm outside, no anticipation anxiety from work, just calmness.

I still feel anxiety when I am doing something new, but now I know that I can endure that and that it will go away once I am familiar and comfortable at that place or around that person unlike before where I would feel anxiety all the time regardless.

I am still prone to awkwardness though.

Similar combo. My first 500mg GABA made me feel slightly anxious.

GABA changed my life. My brain likely doesn't make enough of this neurotransmitter. It got to where I didn't want to go anywhere bc of anxiety symptoms. I can tell when I have gone too long without taking a dose bc they come back.
