I don't like chamomile anymore. The smell triggers some of my social anxiety's and a couple of bad memories.
I tried it to help me sleep a couple nights and I ended up drinking like 2-3 glasses. I did end up falling asleep, but I was still very anxious. And It's not like I had a great sleep either. I just dozed off for about an hour. So, maybe it does work.
I prefer peppermint tea for relaxing qualities that nevertheless maintain mental alertness. Chamomile sometimes makes me drowsy. Yerba Mate is pretty good too for relaxing yet maintaining mental alertness.
I've been drinking organic chamomile tea and so far it hasn't done anything for me. On the back of the box it shows that it's supposed to contain 900mg of chamomile flower. I usually use two tea bags and let it steep in my mug for around 8-10 minutes. It's never given me any effect that's been noticeable. How much tea do you all drink to receive effects from this?
