I drink coffee almost everyday. Most of the time it makes me feel like S but sometimes it makes me feel great. That keeps me coming back for more...

I drank coffee this morning for the first time in almost three months. Surprisingly, I had a good reaction, and actually feel quite content for the time being. Maybe my system has reset and can tolerate caffeine better now..

I only have caffeine-induced anxiety symptoms if I have too much in a short amount of time. But even then I don't have the mental aspect of SA, I just feel my heart beating fast, etc.

But I've been known to drink a Monster energy drink and fall asleep, so....

I get diminishing returns from caffeine. Up to a point, caffeine good - go past that, caffeine bad. Once I have had to much, I am screwed (shaking, jitters, etc.).

The first time I had a big dose of caffeine was in one of those 5 hour energy shots yeeears ago when I worked the graveyard shift. I took one at lunchtime (3am) and was flying for the rest of my shift! Starting taking it more often and got raises and awards like crazy. That was about 4-5 years ago and I'm still addicted. Now I take caffeine in pill form just to feel "normal". Which is min 800mg a day. I'll stop.. eventually. lol
Caffeine pills are misleading. They make you feel so excited, but deep down you are so scared.

Caffiene helps me out a bit, but if I take tooo much it makes it worse. Fine line to cross. I'm working on cutting back and quitting completely just because I'm tired of HAVING to drink it in the morning or get a blinding headache in withdrawals.

This drug, yes I would consider it a drug, at least DOUBLES my SA. Stay away from stimulants unless you're one of those backwards people who gets paradoxical effects from meds and needs something like Adderal to reduce anxiety.

A note for those on SSRIs: Caffeine is potentiated by this drug in a big way. I would say 1 cup equals about 3 if you are on SSRIs so be careful.

Yeah i agree with the post above caffeine and nicotine both potentiated SSRIs, they are already blocking the reuptake of one transmiter taking a stimulate with that just asking for trouble, it could be helping block the dopamine as well slowing down the transportation or stoping the break down as fast, increasing anyone of those transmiters each one of them can cause insomina on it's own,

Anyone else having trouble with the cortisol that caffeine stimulates and releases in your body? does it seem to trigger anyones SA, its messing with mines.. although i do like the focus effects of caffiene but as im coming down from my buzz jitters/cortisol start to come into effect.

Caffeine absolutely kills me. It hypes me up a bit, and by virtue of that my self awareness and anxiety increases. I also get headaches within a few hours after drinking it. I almost attribute this to suffering instant withdrawal systems with how quickly it wears off. I have absolutely no scientific justification for this notion though.

Tea still has caffeine in it, although not as much as coffee or energy drinks.

Lately, I've been finding that its either hit or miss whenever I drink caffeinated beverages. Smetimes they will increase my anxiety, and make me feel dreadful; while other times, it will calm me down completely, and clear up my thoughts.

I used started trinking coffe a lot 2 years ago when my job was stressing me so i took it to control my stress better, 3 cup or 4 a day.

Then i used coffee to give a boost during workout 2 cup

Then coffee when i was sad/depressed or even happy.

So average of 3 cup.

I tried to stop coffee a month ago for 5 days and i was fine but i got back to it cause i liked it too much no headache tho. now i haven't had coffee in 4 days , i am trying to stop again, no headache i dont get those but damn i want it lol.

I drink tea that contain about 55mg of caffeine but it doesn't even give me a boost like coffee does not even close.
