If you ever Google the question (of why forums are dying in general,) often at least one response will be about verticalscope.

I'd imagine it's just an age thing though, some people moved on and younger people prefer other social media formats. Personally I think the only new redeemable thing (and I've been on many sites,) is Discord and really it's just a chat platform which isn't exactly new.

Instagram is the weirdest **** if you consider chronological development of the internet though. Like imagine the role image sites used to play like photobucket etc and then imagine if people just spent considerably large amounts of time on photobucket. Weird.

I guess writing long posts on mobile is also avoided although I did for a while before this site stopped working on my phone so if you're determined it's not hard though you might have some typos in places. Can't imagine that's a huge disincentive anyway since most people don't do that anyway.

The wretched world we’re living in at present was not an unlucky war of fate; it was an economic and political decision made without consulting the enormous human population that it would most drastically affect. If we would have it otherwise, if we’d prefer a future that we can call home, then we must stop supporting — even passively — this ravenous, insatiable conservative agenda before it devours us with our kids as a dessert. - Alan Moore

Looks like we need to start toughening you up, and get that confidence going a bit for you.

appreciate your kindness though.

Come on, there is always someone worse off, @blue2 for example but at least he can have a laugh about it and see the funny side.

^^I used to think my life was a tragedy .. Now I realise its a comedy 😉

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death
Out, out, brief candle! Life's but a walking shadow,
A poor player that strut's and fret's his hour upon the stage and is heard no more,
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
- Macbeth

Traditional forums are going to take a hit due to Facebook groups. However, forums are forums. They are user-generated.

Theres forums out there that only get two posts per month and are still interesting.

Username checks out.

Yeah, imagine censoring/banning thread spammers.

The actual sentences and paragraphs we have here are just too much.

Too much truth haha. You triggered all those people for at least 5 seconds before they went to watch cat videos on youtube.

Anyway r.i.p SAS
