Sitting on the floor?

Ok so normally I bring my anxiety dog with but he asked me to bring my other today since we discuss him so much and he wanted to meet him. He decided randomly to sit on the floor and hope to calm my dog who was pacing. Well, it felt super weird to have him looking up at me so I went to the floor too and for whatever reason, it felt WAY more comfortable, probably the best session yet. I felt so much more relaxed and not sure why.
I feel like I should ask if we can do that again but idk if he will since he did it for the dog?
Also has anyone else ever done a session like this?

He would not be a good therapist if he didn't comply with such a simple request, especially knowing that it was more comfortable for you. Not that he couldn't decline for good reasons, but there are not very many.

We are the drop, the wave, and the tide.
